Can I borrow materials not found at the Gibbon Public Library?

Patrons looking for materials should first use the TdS Aspen catalog. Aspen is a shared catalog of 34 libraries that provides borrowers access to an extensive collection of resources. The catalog may be used in the Library, at home or at work. Patrons may also call the Gibbon Public Library for further questions. There are several ways to borrow books outside of your library. Please check with a Librarian if you cannot find an item that you want.

Can I return items checked out in Gibbon at another Public Library?

In most cases, YES you can.  Most items checked out from any Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative location may be returned to any of its libraries. Items may be returned in person or through a book drop.  Chromebooks, games, and some specialty items need to be returned only to the Gibbon Public Library during open hours.

Can I return items after hours?

Unless it is otherwise stated, items may be placed in the 24 hour book return located in the library lobby. If you use the book drop, be sure to return your items before we close on the day they are due. Items otherwise marked as too fragile or too large for the book return must be returned when the Library is open.
